Qatar Airways sometimes sneak in an amazing deal in one of their flash sales. Over the past while, it has been a point somewhere in Europe down to Auckland showing some of the best fares.

This time it’s the UK’s turn with a 48 hour Qatar Airways flash sale on at the moment. The sale ends at midnight UK time on Wednesday, 14 March 2018.

What’s The Deal?

The longest flight in the world is currently the Qatar Airways service between Doha and Auckland. Anytime there is a sale fare on this route, I tend to book it as I have family in Australia and it’s an easy jump across to Sydney from Auckland.

In the UK flash sale, you can fly from Manchester to Auckland and return for £1,361 and change. This is a business class ticket price too! There is tons of availability through to the end of the year and this fare is exceptionally good. I can’t stress how cheap this is, it is extremely good value!

Flights from Manchester to Doha are on the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, while those on to Auckland are on the Boeing 777-200LR. You can see the business class seat on the Boeing 777 in bed mode above. It is very comfortable indeed!

Want to know more? Here’s my review of the Doha to Auckland flight the first time I took it. It is quite a comprehensive review! There is also a nice long review of the return flight here.

What Else Should I Know?

As Qatar Airways is a member of the oneworld alliance, you will earn points and status from them as long as you hold another oneworld alliance frequent flyer card. Therefore, British Airways Executive Club members and all others will earn on these flights.

With its business class considered the best in the world, jumping on this deal should be a no brainer. Personally, I find the seats on the Boeing 777-200LR to be fantastic. That plus the dine on demand concept and attentive service make flying QR a brilliant experience.

Overall Thoughts

I think it’s great when airlines have a flash sale and include at least one fare that puts business class within reach of the masses. People will talk about it all the time which is great free promotion for the carrier.
