Cathay Pacific keeps its much lauded lounge design with The Bridge

Cathay Pacific have the best lounge design in the world, hands down. They have recently renovated The Bridge lounge at Hong Kong International Airport and happily the design ethos remains intact.

I’ve been to the Qatar Airways Al Safwa Lounge and the Al Mourjan Lounge in Doha. These are considered some of the best in the world, but they just don’t do it for me. I prefer the more comfortable and luscious design of the CX lounges.

Cathay Pacific The Bridge

Cathay Pacific have issued a press release about The Bridge. The professional pictures show off the design perfectly, and really, what’s not to love? It echoes The Pier First Class lounge and even the London Heathrow First Class lounge. It’s not restricted to First Class either, as their Business Class lounge in London is just as delicious to spend time in.

Anyone who has had the pleasure of visiting a CX lounge will find everything very familiar. The thoughtful design, plush furnishings and bountiful food offering puts other airlines to shame. If you want to see a lounge done right, get yourself into a Cathay Pacific lounge. The oneworld alliance carrier is on to a winner here.

Overall Thoughts

This lounge design has been around for a good ten years now. To me it hasn’t aged one bit. It’s timeless, familiar, homely, cosy and really quite lovely to spend time in.

Cathay Pacific got it right when they went down this road. I’m very happy to see the design continues even today. For me, it’s completely faultless.

What do you think of The Bridge and its new renovation? How do you find the Cathay Pacific lounges in general? Thank you for reading and if you have any comments or questions, please leave them below.
