Background & Access
Singapore Changi Airport is widely considered one of the best airports in the world, and I do love the Jewel shopping mall connected to the airport. On a trip through Singapore in June of 2025, I was able to stop by the Changi Lounge, which is located not in any of the terminals, but in the Jewel.

What makes this lounge especially unique is that it’s entirely pre-security and pre-immigration. All you need for access with Priority Pass is a boarding pass showing confirmed same-day travel, so if you arrive at the airport early enough, you can pop in before even heading to passport control. A pretty cool perk for those with a bit of extra time before their flight. You can also buy lounge access passes starting at $28 SGD if you want.

After arriving from Koh Samui, I had a long layover before my flight back to New York, so I decided to check out the Changi Lounge (of course, after getting ice cream from my favorite spot in the Jewel, Birds of Paradise).
The lounge is located near Lift Lobby E, opposite the early check-in counters. Hours of operation are 6:00 am to 10:00 pm daily, with last food orders taken at 9:00 pm. Do keep in mind that when you leave, you’ll still need to make your way through security and immigration to reach your departure gate, so factor in some extra time.
The Lounge
The space was nice and comfortable, with ample seating throughout. I stopped by in the afternoon, and the lounge was pretty empty, which made for a relaxed experience. There is even a meeting room in the back. I didn’t utilize the shower on this visit, so I don’t have any comments on that.

With Priority Pass, you’re entitled to one hot à la carte meal, one beer, and shower access per person. A hot, made-to-order meal included with Priority Pass was quite cool and elevated the visit above the typical self-serve buffet experience I would have expected.

During my visit, the hot meal options included:
- Singapore Laksa
- Tom Yum Noodles
- Beef Lasagne
- Chili Crab
- Thai Green Curry
- Dim Sum Platter
- Bar Bites Platter
- Vegan Dim Sum Set
- Vegan Samosa
I opted for the Dim Sum Platter, and it was pretty good!

Outside of the made-to-order meals, they have a small buffet and drinks station set up. The buffet has pastries, and there are canned drinks.

The lounge itself isn’t the flashiest you’ll ever visit, but it’s clean, functional, and well-appointed for what it is.
The Verdict
The Changi Lounge Singapore in the Jewel was a pleasant surprise for me! The pre-security location in Jewel makes it a nice stop if you have extra time, and the complimentary à la carte hot meal is nice for a Priority Pass offering.
