Background and Access
I was able to visit both of Singapore Airlines’ SilverKris Lounges at Singapore Changi Airport (Terminal 2 and Terminal 3) during my last trip, with my business class ticket. My Singapore Airlines flight to Bangkok was leaving from Terminal 2, while my flight back to New York departed from Terminal 3, so I got to give both a try.
Generally, access to the SilverKris Lounges is available to KrisFlyer Elite Gold members, PPS Club members, and business class passengers flying on a Singapore Airlines or Star Alliance flight.
Tip: If you want, you can access the SilverKris Lounge in Terminal 3 even if your flight departs from Terminal 2, as the terminals are connected airside & they conduct security screenings at individual boarding gates rather than centrally, so you’ll just need to leave some extra time to get back to your gate.
The lounges are located at:
- Terminal 2, Level 3 (nearer to Gates E)
- Terminal 3, Level 3 (nearer to Gates A)
SilverKris Lounge- Terminal 2
This is the smaller and more dated of the two, though it’s open 24 hours and covers everything you’d need from a lounge. There’s a large seating area alongside a buffet section with dining-style tables.

The food selection is quite solid, from dim sum-style hot items, cold cuts, and a noodle station serving Sarawak Kolo Mee and the SKL Signature Laksa. Canned drinks, alcohol, and coffee machines are also available.

The good news: Singapore Airlines is investing S$45 million to renovate the Terminal 2 lounges, and completion is expected around mid-2027. The revamped space will feature 50% more seating, a full-service bar, an expanded buffet with Asian and Western options, barista coffee, recliners, and signature design elements from the Terminal 3 flagship lounge. Curious to see how it turns out!
SilverKris Lounge- Terminal 3
The SilverKris Lounge in Terminal 3 is the larger of the two, though it was quite packed during my early evening visit.

Seating is spread across several sections, and the main buffet is extensive with hot food, cold cuts, and a live-action station that had Spaghetti Vongole and blanched lettuce on offer (which was unexpected, and I love Spaghetti Vongole). There’s also a secondary buffet section with a smaller but still solid hot food selection.

Since my flight wasn’t until nearly midnight, I made good use of the shower suite before boarding, and it was quite nice.

The SilverKris Lounges are efficient and perfectly solid, but their buffet-focused, high-volume approach lacks the sense of occasion you’ll find in places like Cathay Pacific’s Pier or even the restaurant-style dining now common in Delta One and United Polaris lounges. It’s not that they’re bad; they just don’t quite match the standard Singapore sets in the air.
The Verdict
Overall, the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounges in Singapore Changi were totally fine and offered a solid buffet food selection. But they were a bit below my expectations, and the Terminal 3 lounge was packed during my visit. I am curious to see how the renovation of the Terminal 2 lounge turns out!
