One of the hottest items in upcoming travel is Qantas’ Project Sunrise, the quest to link Australia’s east coast cities with London and New York non-stop. These flights start in 2027 and cheeky AeroLOPA have revealed the seating plan for the aircraft.
By now everyone knows AeroLOPA is the go to place for airline seat maps. They are gorgeous, functional, easy to use and most importantly extremely accurate. There is no better resource online for frequent travellers when it comes to airline seating.
Cheeky AeroLOPA show off the Qantas A350-1000
I like it when geeks get creative and this is pretty epic. AeroLOPA are used to creating seat maps through a combination of airline issued diagrams, as well as photos and video submitted by interested readers. I’ve submitted pictures, suggestions and corrections myself for airlines I fly a lot and aircraft I know well.
Since the site relies on all of this information, as well as their own knowledge of aircraft seating products and so on, they have come up with what is perhaps the best guess of what the seating plan will be.
Unique however is the “wellness zone” at doors three just behind the wing. This is where people can have a stretch, grab something to eat and generally get moving during the long 22 hour sectors the plane will fly.
Is it really accurate?
In addition to the renders available, the Australian airline did also release the below cutaway. This shows each travel class and where it sits within the airliner.
Overall Thoughts
Cheeky AeroLOPA have a bit of a coup here. While it is not the final seat map released by Qantas, based on what the airline has released in renders, I’d say it won’t be too far off what is presented here.
With flights coming soon, Qantas will put their LOPA up soon enough. A LOPA? What’s that? It’s Layout of Passenger Accommodations, an airline term – as it’s not just the seats, it’s the galleys, toilets and so on as well.
What do you think of AeroLOPA’s attempt at revealing the Qantas Project Sunrise A350-1000 seat map? I think it’s an excellent effort and probably pretty spot on. Anything you agree or disagree with? Thank you for reading and if you have any comments or questions, please leave them below.
