Your Upgrade is Now Confirmed – And You Get an Email Too

As a Delta Medallion, I occasionally receive a complimentary upgrade. Historically, I have received an email from Delta with the subject line “Your Upgrade is Now Confirmed” when I luck out and get the upgrade.

Not the biggest deal in the world, but it was nice to see that subject line in your email after a hard day at work. Sometime around the end of June, I stopped getting the emails. I know…I know….who gets upgraded anymore? But I did. I discovered it by looking at my itinerary on Delta.com. Sniffing around FlyerTalk one evening, I discovered that I wasn’t the only one missing the emails.

I checked in with a contact at Delta, and learned that there was a technical glitch with the upgrade notification emails. However, it has been fixed as of this afternoon and should be functioning normally. So Delta flyers…. any emails today letting you know your upgrade is now confirmed? Anyone else vote for push notifications via their smartphone apps too? I know – high maintenance. 🙂
