UPDATE: American Airlines Resuming Philadelphia-Zurich Flights

a city with a statue and buildings

Last week I told you that American Airlines would be introducing flights from Philadelphia (PHL) to Budapest (BUD) and Prague (PRG), as well as resuming its Philadelphia (PHL)-Zurich (ZRH) route.

Some fine details were unclear, but now we have some additional information.

Additional Updates

As we know, American planned to roll legacy US Airways 757s off of shorter Trans-Atlantic (TATL) routes and onto the Hawaii routes left vacant. As such, I was curious how they would backfill the voids in the TATL flights. We now have our answer.

Philadelphia (PHL) – Amsterdam (AMS) will have its 757 replaced by a 767-300ER on 1x daily flights beginning March 25, 2018. (Note: AA.com is only showing the 767 loaded as of June 1, 2018. All dates prior are still the 757)
Philadelphia (PHL) – Lisbon (LIS) will have its 757 replaced by a 767-300ER on 1x daily flights beginning April 3, 2018. (Note: AA.com is only showing the 767 loaded as of June 7, 2018. All dates prior are still the 757)
