Here’s a peek at what to expect from the newest high-end restaurant in the Big Apple – The Back Room at One57 at the Park Hyatt. It’s located at the newest luxury hotel in New York City on 57th Street between Sixth and Seventh avenues. (I haven’t been to the restaurant – or the hotel – myself yet, so if you get there before me, please write in to me or leave a comment below share your thoughts with us!)

If you love the Park Hyatt Washington D.C.’s Blue Duck Tavern, you’re in luck. The Back Room at One57 is an American grill overseen by Sebastien Archambault, formerly the Blue Duck’s executive chef. Expect local and seasonal ingredients, plus a wine list developed by Michelin-starred Veritas graduate Tristan Prat-Vincent with an emphasis on boutique American labels as well as European labels.

ANOTHER BITE: Fiola Mare in Washington D.C.: Great views, food

AND ANOTHER: Chef Michael Mina at Miami’s Fontainebleau

AND ANOTHER: Local gem: Durham’s hottest pizzarea re-opens

If you’re going for drinks, there’s a champagne-focused bar called The Living Room that also serves classic cocktails with a modern twist.
