EVA Air invited me to attend their inaugural Hello Kitty Hand-In-Hand jet ceremony which departed from San Francisco to Taipei, Taiwan on October 29, 2019. I was excited to get an invitation as I flew earlier this year on their Hello Kitty A330 from Seoul, South Korea to Taipei, Taiwan.

What to expect on the Hello Kitty Hand-in-Hand Jet

Specially designed boarding passes and baggage stickers are handed out upon checking into your flight. While boarding, you will be warmly greeted by EVA Air flight attendants wearing light-green Hello Kitty aprons. Service items on board the Hello Kitty Hand-in-Hand jet that are themed are headrest covers, pillowcases, tissue, hand cream, hand-washing liquid, napkins, paper cups, utensils, and snack packaging. Sadly, they won’t have any Hello Kitty toilet paper as they discontinued offering it last year.

Final Thoughts

Bay Area residents can now fly the new EVA Air Hello Kitty Hand-in-Hand Jet from San Francisco to Taipei on Thursdays and Saturdays.  An added flight after December 1st will make visiting Taiwan for the holidays easier for passengers. Often called the heart of Asia, Taiwan is the perfect layover stop to connect to other major Southeast Asian cities such as Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Saigon, or Manila.
