As per View from the Wing, the limited time offers with the Chase Freedom Flex and Chase Freedom Unlimited cards is ending soon on January 13, 2021. Why are these offers so lucrative? Both Chase Freedom cards offer you the opportunity to earn a welcome bonus of 20,000 Ultimate Rewards points. Additionally, you can earn 5x points per dollar you spend at grocery stores. You can earn a maximum of 60,000 Ultimate Rewards points with a maximum of $12,000 in spend in the first year. That would net you a total of 80,000 Ultimate Rewards points in the first year of having either of the cards. As per View from the Wing, that 5x grocery bonus will no longer be available to new card applicants after January 13, 2021.
Chase recently revamped their Freedom card portfolio and relaunched their cards. Which card is better for you? Here’s a side by side comparison of the welcome bonus and benefits.

In addition to a lot of other features, the two cards also have similar benefits. For example, with both these cards, you’ll get the newly launched DoorDash and Lyft benefits. You’ll also get 5% cash back or 5x on travel you book through Chase’s Ultimate Rewards portal. You can read the details about these benefits on this page.
However, the Chase Freedom Flex is a MasterCard. Moreover, it’s a world elite mastercard. That distinction matters as it offers its own set of benefits. Following are some of the benefits that it offers. You can view the details about these benefits on MasterCard’s website.

The Pundit’s Mantra
The limited time bonus on the Chase Freedom Flex and Freedom Unlimited is pretty easy to max out, if you spend $1,000 in grocery each month. That will net you an extra 60,000 Ultimate Rewards Points for stuff that you’d purchase anyway. For cards that have no annual fee, 80,000 points in the first year is a great bonus for stuff that you purchase frequently.
Hat Tip to View from the Wing
You can buy Hilton Honors points currently with a 100% bonus. What’s better? You can buy up to 320,000 points in total, at a price of just 0.5 cents per point. This limited time offer ends on December 31st.
