World of Hyatt Card Offering $250 Statement Credit

The Chase World of Hyatt Card could take you to a plethora of places!

The Chase World of Hyatt Card is one of my favorite co-branded hotel cards for a plethora of reasons. You can receive so much value from its earning structure and perks, especially relative to its $95 annual fee. Doctor of Credit (H/T) reported on September 4 that the World of Hyatt Card is offering a $250 Statement Credit on their card.

What’s Going On?

All you have to do is spend at least $500 directly at Hyatt Ziva or Hyatt Zilara resorts using your World of Hyatt Card. Gift cards and other methods of manufactured spend do not count towards the $500. Registration has begun and is open until November 30, 2019. And the promotion is valid between November 1, 2019 and March 31, 2020.

Cardholders can earn only one statement credit for this promotion. The credit will appear on your Chase account within eight weeks of hitting the $500 minimum spend.

Analysis

I am delighted to see this promotion coming from the World of Hyatt. The Ziva and Zilara brands are all-inclusive resorts and its nice to see Hyatt promoting them. After all, all-inclusive resorts are something that is not often promoted from hotel brands.

At face value, receiving this statement credit is like getting 50% off your next Hyatt stay. That’s a great deal! It’s especially nice if you have $500 that you were going to spend anyway. Getting a bonus for money that you would have spent anyway is the essence of earning points and miles.

Overview of the World of Hyatt Card

This deal is only available to Chase World of Hyatt cardholders. The World of Hyatt Card is a fantastic mid-tier card for Hyatt lovers as well as general travelers. The card has a $95 annual fee (NOT waived the first year), but it comes with a hefty sign-up bonus, a great earning structure, and nice perks to justify the fee.

The sign-up bonus comes in two parts. You can earn 25,000 Hyatt points by spending $3,000 within the first three months. Furthermore, the second part lets you earn another 25,000 points by spending $6,000 total within the first six months. This two-part bonus is different than the $250 statement credit offer.

Furthermore, the World of Hyatt Card has a nice earning structure too. You can earn 9.5x points for World of Hyatt purchases. That’s broken down as 5x points for being a member, 4x points for having the credit card, and 0.5x points for having Discoverist Status. You can also earn 2x points on Dining, Airfare (booked directly with the airline), Local Commuter Transit, and Gym Memberships. The card also earns just one point per dollar for all non-bonus spend.

The World of Hyatt Card also comes with a suite of perks. Complimentary Discoverist Status tops the list. But preferred room upgrades, five elite night credits per year, and up to two free nights per year finish it off.

Final Draw

The World of Hyatt Card is one of my favorite co-branded hotel cards. And this promotion makes having it that much better. I would suggest applying for this card if it works for your travel needs. But if you already have the card, click on the first link below to register for the offer.
