LAX Inaugural flights
Two airlines celebrated their inaugural flights at LAX this week. The first being China Southern and the second being Ethiopian Airlines.
China Southern
China Southern expanded their service to Asia on December 18, 2018, by adding a non-stop flight to Shenyang (SHE). China Southern currently offers LAX to Guangzhou (CAN) route and their flight to Shenyang will make traveling to China even faster. Their new flight to Shenyang will operate three weekly flights (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday) on an A330.
- Departure from Los Angeles 12:40; Arrival at Shenyang 05:10 + 1 day
- Departure from Shenyang 01:20; Arrival at Los Angeles 21:00 – 1 day
Ethiopian Airlines
Ethiopian Airlines became the first airline to fly non-stop from Los Angeles to Africa on December 17, 2018. Their new flight will fly to Lome-Tokoin (LFW) in Togo. The new flight replaces their previously flight from Los Angeles to Addis Ababa via Dublin pitstop. Their new flight to Lome will be operating three weekly flights (Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday) on a 787-8.
- Departure from Los Angeles 21:35; Arrival at Lome 19:35+1
- Departure from Lome 12:25; Arrival at Los Angeles 19:35
Great move Ethiopian! Ethiopian is an excellent airline and I love their Business Class packages and fares.
Thanks for reading my article! I’ve never flown Ethiopian Airlines before. I guess its a good time to use my United miles to book an award ticket now.
