The weekend after we return from the honeymoon, we head to the airport for a quick overnight to North Carolina and my 20 year high school reunion. And then it’s back to reality the very next day as I hop on a plane to Atlanta for a week-long work trip. Yes, I’m staying at the W Atlanta Midtown again, and probably will for every trip to Atlanta as long as the hotel is available at a reasonable rate that my employer will pay. You heard it here first: I am a W Hotels fan! And the Starwood points will keep me coming back.
The Month Ahead
As some of you know, I’m getting married on October 25th. I’ve been able to beg off a lot of work-related travel until then. After the wedding we will enjoy an 11-night cruise aboard Grandeur of the Seas for her annual repositioning from Baltimore to Tampa. That will require a one-way flight home from Tampa. We’re booked on American Airlines with a connection in Miami. Yes, I know there are nonstops from Tampa to DC, but the price was right, the upgrades were taken care of with miles nearly a year ago, and every segment helps me keep my Platinum status on American. So there!
