Pisa’s Sala VIP lounge handles all airlines serving Galilei International Airport. This means that if you have status or are flying business class out of Pisa, you will be using this facility.
The airport itself is quite compact so there is not a lot of walking between the check-in desks and the security screening check point. It is quite a pretty airport too and you can wait outside on the grass in the sun if you have a long time before your flight.
Sala VIP Lounge Entrance
Arriving at the next level, there is a ramp leading to the doorway. A lighted sign proudly proclaiming all the airlines using the lounge is right next to the door.
Lounge Decor
There is a variety of seating available in the lounge, all of which is really quite comfortable. Device charging points are available at each lamp. There is a second socket there where you can charge your phone for example.
Oh Yes, There Are Toilets!
Toilets are accessed by the reception desk and feature what appear to be three individual rooms. One is for men, one for women and one for disabled people or families.
Sala VIP Lounge Catering
Across from the reception desk is a fridge containing a bunch of drinks and a large pot of olives. Some of the drinks I don’t recognise.
Overall Thoughts
As far as lounges in small airports go, the Sala VIP lounge is quite fine. The fact it is nice and cool and offers something to eat and drink in a clean and calm environment is all you really need. Wireless Internet is free and totally fine for web browsing. The facility is also clean and well kept, if somewhat dated.

I think this lounge is very poor, seems to be busy as well very often. Limited choice of snacks, and only one person running the place, not really worth the money if you have to pay. If you’ve got a membership then ok, but it’s nothing to write home about, and not somewhere I’d consider going again. Thanks for the review though, don’t know what that^ idiots taking about.
The one time I visited it was quite empty. I completely agree with all of the above, I wouldn’t pay for it – not a chance. I had access provided. It says a lot that I didn’t eat anything and I think all I had was a sparkling water. It was nice and cool in there and on a hot day in Pisa that was very welcome! Cheers for the comment!
