Danny DealGuru: World of Hyatt Adds Limit on Transferred Awards
As per Danny DealGuru, Hyatt is making a negative change to the ability to gift Hyatt awards to others. You can transfer Guest of Honor Awards, Suite Upgrade Awards, Club Lounge Access Awards and Free Night Awards to another Hyatt member.
It seems like this benefit may be abused by some, so it’s no surprise that Hyatt now saying that starting June 7, you can only transfer up to a maximum of 10 awards per calendar year.
I’ve been using this feature over the years, primarily to book Hyatt stays for other family members. This change won’t affect me much since I’ve never really hit the 10 night mark each year while gifting awards to others.
