As an airplane enthusiast, I enjoy my travels even more with sights of plane spotting. Of rare airlines, aircraft types. And of commonly encountered ones with a twist. Have a look.
The biggest airliner in the world – the A380
Singapore Airlines plane boarding at Frankfurt with 3 aerobridges.
A similar view from the 2nd aerobridge boarding into economy, looking up at the 3rd boarding business.
A view from the window at a Lufthansa A380 coming towards you.
A kaleidoscope at night in JFK from the Virgin lounge
A regular sight at Changi airport Singapore
My favourite plane, the Boeing 747
The newest version, the 747-8 at Frankfurt
Another view. This is of a 747-400
A last rare view of this, in the Lufthansa lounge at Heathrow
Rare airlines and sights
Uzbek Air Boeing 767 in Frankfurt
Middle East Airlines (Lebanon) A320 in Framkfurt
A Lufthansa A320 in retro livery (all pictures are mine, except this. I saw one of these planes but could not get my camera out in time).
Normal airlines boarding
United at Munich bound for Washington DC
Air India in Singapore
Airport Traffic
From the wing of a Singapore Airline A380, you can see a United B787-8 Dreamliner and a Lufthansa A340 in Star Alliance livery.
From the wing of a Lufthansa A320 taking off from Heathrow to Munich. You can see Vietnam Airways, Saudia and Etihad.

Over the English Channel
Take off from Changi Airport Singapore
Landing at Hong Kong
This covers Singapore, London, Munich, Frankfurt and Hong Kong in November 2016. I am sure lots will be changing, but this is what I found.
Enjoy and tell me what else you found!
LOVE the wing/upper-jetway shot boarding the SQ A380. All great pics.
HKG, LHR and CDG are my favorite airports for plane spotting. The AA lounge at CDG has great views.
Not been to AA lounge in CDG. LHR is a great place – long distance airlines have their best and biggest and newest planes flying there!
Gentle correction: that retro-livery LH is an A321, not an A320. Regardless, I always enjoy plane porn so this is an awesome post!
Oops! Thanks.
