How loyal are you to loyalty programs? Results of a new survey cited today in a Seattle Times article raises that question.

According to the poll of travelers commissioned by Capital One and conducted by Wakefield Research, 38% of respondents said that their No. 1 priority is finding the best deal when booking travel.

The stat represents a “tectonic shift,” the story says, from past years when collecting currency in a frequent traveler program was the top priority.

Past stats, however, were not included in the piece, nor was the number of people polled.

This research will be worth looking into in greater deal in the future, but for now let’s hear from you.
