BACKGROUND:

With Caesars Diamond Status, Diamond and Seven Stars members are entitled to two free show tickets once a month in Las Vegas. I achieved Caesars Diamond Status fromHilton Diamond to Wyndham Diamond to Caesars Rewards Diamond!

FREE SHOW BENEFIT:

There are plenty of shows to choose from, and at the rewards desk they have a nice handy list for you to see all the options.

When I was in Vegas last May, I wanted to see WOW The Vegas Spectacular (like Cirque du Soleil, but smaller scale) but it was sold out for Memorial Day weekend. So I ended up seeing Penn and Teller for free. I reviewed my Penn and Teller experience previously, and I enjoyed it overall. In short, for Penn and Teller we got amazing seats, near the front of the stage. After the show, I checked Ticketmaster, and our seats were $85 worth each. I enjoyed the show, but definitely don’t think it’s worth $85 (probably more like $40).

For the past Thanksgiving weekend, I went to the show desk and they had availability for Wow! We got pretty good seats in the Premium Side Left section that have a ticketmaster price of $102. Though, often third party discount sites like Groupon and Travelzoo have tickets in that section for $60 or so.

Wow The Vegas Spectacular

WOW The Vegas Spectacular Review:

The show is a small scale Cirque du Soleil type show, with some other acts sprinkled in as well. I found the acrobatics to be quite impressive (and scary dangerous at some points!)

You could take pictures during the performance (but of course no flash).

In particular, the highlights included the roller blading act, and the acrobatics in the water. Some of the sets were quite visually stunning like the rain scene.

The Verdict:

If you can get a good deal on the show, Wow The Vegas Spectacular provides fun entertainment for an hour and a half. Don’t come in expecting a large scale Cirque du Soleil experience, but for a smaller venue production, I was quite satisfied!

Have you seen Wow- The Vegas Spectacular at the Rio in Las Vegas? What were your thoughts?

Happy travels,

Ty
