Ryanair has announced brand new flights from Dublin to the Greek islands. The success of their flights from Dublin to Santorini have inspired them to open new routes to other islands.

Greece is one of the countries on the Irish Government’s green list. These are areas where people from Ireland may travel without having to self-quarantine for 14 days upon their return.

Greek Islands Fun With Ryanair

The playground island of Mykonos is seeing its first regularly scheduled flights from Dublin ever. Until 30 July, tickets are just €29.99 each way, which is a bargain for what is a four hour and 20 minute flight.

Services operate on Friday and Monday (the same days, incidentally, as Dublin to Santorini) leaving Dublin at 07:40, arriving in Mykonos at 14:00. Return flights on Monday leave Mykonos at 14:10 and land back in Dublin at 16:30.

Flights to Corfu will fly on Thursday and Sunday. The schedule is once again decent, with services leaving Dublin at 09:05, arriving 14:50. Returns on Sunday leave at 12:45, getting back to Ireland at 14:30 after a 3 hour and 45 minute flight.

In addition, flights to Chania in Greece have been increased to four times a week. It looks like Irish people looking for some sun have some really easy ways to get to the Greek islands this summer!

Overall Thoughts

The Greek islands are gorgeous places to visit. I have been to both Santorini and Mykonos and thoroughly enjoyed both islands. In my book they are far nicer than the Canary islands, which are the popular choices for Irish tourists.

It is great to see Ryanair operating the flights at realistic times. Nothing is worse than seeing a new Ryanair destinations with flights on the back side of the clock, departing and leaving at red eye hours.

What do you think of these new Ryanair services to the Greek islands? Will you be making a booking? Thank you for reading and if you have any comments or questions, please leave them below.
