Background

In Atlanta, there are a whopping 9 unique Sky Clubs at the airport. After arriving off a flight from New York in Concourse B, I was able to do a quick visit to this Sky Club. The Concourse B Sky Club is regarded as the flagship lounge, as it is the largest in Atlanta at over 25,000 square feet. The Plane Train at Atlanta connects all the concourses inside the secured area, so you don’t have to be departing/arriving in B to use this lounge.

Though it is large, since Concourse B serves mainly domestic flights, there are no showers at this location. Also, there is no Sky Deck at this location as well.

Access and Location

The Delta Atlanta Sky Club Concourse B is located in the center of the concourse near gate B18.

As of my June 2024 visit, the hours are daily 5:30 am to 10:30 pm.

You can check this full list regarding Sky Club access rules if you’d like but some highlights include:

  • AMEX Platinum or Centurion- if flying on Delta & not in Basic Economy
  • Flying on Delta One
  • Sky Club Members- not in Basic Economy

You will be able to access Delta Sky Clubs anytime within 3 hours of their scheduled departure time (or connecting customers can access at the connecting airport at any time before departure).

Beginning February 1st, 2025, those with access from AMEX Platinum will receive 10 visits a year (15 for the Delta Reserve Card) or need to spend $75k on the card in 2024 to receive unlimited access.

The Lounge & Seating

I arrived at the lounge around 8 pm, and when you enter, you’ll see the Grab and Go Experience, which you can do if you’re short on time as an alternative to the full Sky Club experience. Then, you can take the stairs or elevator to the second floor.

Once on the second floor, I scanned my boarding pass at one of the kiosks and I was on my way into the lounge.

Once in the lounge, it feels quite large. There is plenty of seating on left handefthand side, with outdoor views as well.

In the center, is the main food buffet area and bar.

I really loved the high ceilings in the lounge, and heading towards the back, it had more sofa-style seats and booth-style seats as well. I found a nice seat along the windows for some plane spotting. Despite not having a Sky Deck, I much preferred this Concourse B Sky Club than the Concourse F one, which I visited before my return flight. This Concourse B location is much more airy and the buffet area was better and more organized.

The restroom was clean and well-maintained when I visited, though I felt that it was a tad small for a lounge of this size.

Food Selection

The buffet is quite large and offers two lines with the same selections.

There is a salad selection, cold sandwiches, and then hot options. The hot foods included Gochujang Roasted Chicken, Broccoli & Baby Bok Choy, Mushroom Rice, a pasta dish, and spicy Thai soup.

I did find it less fancy than the LGA lounge, as this lounge had disposable utensils and paper plates instead of proper plates and metal cutlery.

To the right side of the bar, there was another area for Sun Chips, cookies, rice krispies, bananas, and oranges.

The Verdict

Overall, I liked the Delta Sky Club Concourse B at Atlanta Airport. While it’s not as good as the LGA or LAX lounges, I found the lounge to feel quite spacious, and the food selection to be good. Also, I enjoyed this Concourse B lounge more than the one with the Sky Deck in Concourse F.

  1. I visit Atlanta vis Delta a lot… Term B lounge is ok but the disposables
are tacky.. SO many other lounges like SFO and LAX use real dishes and utensils
not sure why Atlanta cannot????Food selections better in Lax,Sfo etc…

    1. Totally agree! I guess competition is a good thing, and unfortunately, since ATL is the Delta fortress, they don’t need to try as hard. Thanks for reading!
