Hilton Honors Points Redemption

Next month, I’m excited to go to the first time to Seychelles. Hilton has a great footprint in the Secyhelles and boasts of 7 properties on the gorgeous archipelago in the Indian ocean.

I did some initial research and we decided to go with the Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa. Out of all the properties on the island, the Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa is an adults only property. Since we’re traveling with a toddler, we were looking for a property that was kid friendly and ended up going with Labriz.

The Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa is located on Sihouette Island is only accessible by boat or helicopter. In case of this hotel, the price per night was 90,000 Hilton Honors points per night. Since we wanted to book a 5 night stay, we ended up paying a total of 360,000 points. We used the 5th night free benefit to get the fifth night free for this stay.

The Pundit’s Mantra

In our community, there’s plenty of debate about the best way to value your miles and points. While not the best option, cents per point serve as a decent marker to understand the value that you’re getting from your miles and points.

By many estimates, most people consider a range of 0.4-0.6 cents per point as a decent value for Hilton redemptions. In this case, I was glad I was able to find the right property for a vacation, especially on that was family friendly and had a lot of different options for activities.
