Cruise for Make-A-Wish Foundation

I don’t normally repeat blogs just for the sake of repeating them, but I think benefitting Make-A-Wish is worthwhile. Originally posted on October 4, 2014.

I’ve blogged a bit about Quantum of the Seas, Royal Caribbean’s newest ship which is undergoing final preparations for service as I type. While not as large as her Oasis Class sisters, Quantum is still one of the largest cruise ships in the world. Further, she promises to push the envelope on technological advancement in cruise ships. I’m already booked for a cruise in December, but Quantum will arrive in the New York area in November. If you’re interested in trying Quantum of the Seas to see if this is a ship for you, there’s an outstanding opportunity to do that and support a good cause.

As is their inaugural sailing tradition, Royal Caribbean is donating an entire ship, 600 staterooms aboard the brand new Quantum of the Seas, to Make-A-Wish with the potential to raise nearly half a million dollars to grant wishes. This is a fantastic opportunity to be among the first to experience the pinnacle of modern cruising onboard one of the most innovative ships in the world and help Make-A-Wish make wishes come true for boys and girls in the New York area who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening medical conditions.

Newly redesigned luxurious staterooms, exquisite dining and exciting entertainment awaits you on a ship that not only takes you to the sea, but to the sky.  Surrounded by Make-A-Wish family and friends, you will also have an opportunity to be part of a very special christening and inaugural ceremony for Quantum of the Seas. This celebration will feature all the pomp and circumstance of this exciting maritime tradition, with Broadway star and actress Kristin Chenoweth, the ship’s godmother, officially presenting Quantum to the world.

This cruise is all-inclusive with the exception of spa visits, and there are group packages as well as one cabin options available. Even with my own cruise booked just days after this one, I wish I could join everyone on this special sailing. If you’re interested in pricing and more information, please visit quantumwishes.com for more details.
