This popular Hyatt promo is back. Last year, we saw the Hyatt bonus journeys promo make an appearance towards the end of the year. I was able to bank a lot of World of Hyatt points thanks to the promo. It’s back now for 2024. Let’s have a look at the details.
Hyatt Promo: Earn up to 4,000 World of Hyatt points
Here’s how this Hyatt promo works. You’ll earn bonus points for completing qualifying stays.
- You’ll earn 3,000 World of Hyatt points after completing 3 qualifying nights. You can earn a maximum of 21,000 bonus points with this Hyatt promo.
- If you carry the consumer or the business version of the World of Hyatt credit card, you’ll earn an additional 1,000 bonus points. If you carry both the cards, you’ll still earn extra 1,000 points and not 2,000.
- World of Hyatt cardholders can earn a maximum of 7,000 bonus points. Let’s say you have a co-branded Hyatt credit card and max out this Hyatt promo, you can earn up to maximum of 28,000 (21,000 + 7,000) World of Hyatt points if you max out the promo.
Important Caveat
If you’re a World of Hyatt cardholder, then, as per the terms and conditions, you’ll earn the 1,000 bonus points only for stays completed in the following countries.

Qualifying Nights
The best part about Bonus Journeys is that award stays and cash plus points bookings also qualify. I was able to earn a lot of Hyatt points during the previous Bonus Journeys promo thanks to that very feature.
Hyatt’s own FAQ page about the promo spells it out.
For the purpose of this promotion, an Eligible Night is defined as a night at a participating hotel where a member is paying an Eligible Rate or redeems a Free Night award. A hotel must be participating in World of Hyatt at the time of your stay for it to qualify as an Eligible Night. See complete terms and conditions on hyatt.com for a list of participating Small Luxury Hotels of the World properties. Only Eligible Nights after registration will qualify.
Eligible methods of payment include cash, Points + Cash, check, or major credit cards debit/bank cards, World of Hyatt Free Night Awards, World of Hyatt promotional Free Night Awards, or World of Hyatt Points + Cash Awards.
The Pundit’s Mantra
Overall, this is a fantastic promotion if you have World of Hyatt stays coming up in the next couple of months. While I don’t have any stays immediately on the radar, I’d definitely look to book a Hyatt award stay if something comes up by the end of the quarter.
If you’re a World of Hyatt cardholder, then you can get some really valuable rebates. If you book a Category 1 Hyatt property that only charges 3,500 points per night (off peak), then you’ll end up paying only 6,500 points (10,500 – 4,000) for a 3 night stay.

I have an upcoming stay in March. Does this promo offer valid on existing bookings or need to register first before making the booking?
As long as you register and your booking falls during the promo dates, you should be okay.
