HIGHLIGHTS: Loews Vanderbilt Hotel

This was a wonderful experience, and definitely a great breath of fresh air after coming here from my previous hotel. It’s located a ways from downtown Nashville, but highlights include the spacious, quality room, pleasant lobby area, and the house car that will take you around (within a few miles)

My standard hotel reviews include a breakdown by the following topics. Feel free to skip to whichever section you find most interesting.

  • Highlights
  • Lobby
  • Room
  • Hotel Space / Ambiance
  • Food & Drink
  • Fitness
  • Miscellaneous

LOBBY & CHECK-IN

Directly in the swivel door is the check in desk, with three socially distant desks, and the bright Loews light behind. To the left is a bar and hotel elevators, and to the right is a lounge and work area, as well as a nice fireplace and small business center. To the right is the hotel store – small gift shop with some food and drink options.

ROOM

I was very pleased with this room and its quality. It was quite spacious with two full(?) beds, and a pleasant view outside. The beds were too small to accommodate both of us, so it was a first time in a long while sleeping on separate beds.

HOTEL SPACE / AMBIANCE

I was here for work – so plenty of business people running around, to be expected from Sunday to Thursday. I really enjoyed the atmosphere they had with the juke box, record player, and lounge area. Fireplace was also a nice touch – great place to congregate after work. The house car was a pleasant surprise – I used it a couple times to get me or take me to various places like Downtown Nashville

FOOD & DRINK

Unfortunately, I did not eat here, as they did not provide any breakfast or food credits, and spent my time eating outside instead.

FITNESS

This was actually a smaller fitness center than I expected, with a small weight station, a few treadmills, and an out of order water machine. Thankfully, they had small bottles, which I arranged for a symmetrical picture.

MISCELLANEOUS

After work, I got to explore both Downtown Nashville and around the Vanderbilt University area, trying a variety of food – mostly American! It was pleasant and I definitely gained a lot of weight from all this eating. The BBQ was delicious and I’d certainly come back and try more!
