Fairmont Whistler Gold Lounge Staff

The Fairmont Gold Floor is advertised as a hotel within a hotel.

The Fairmont Gold Lounge plays a big part in that advertising. At the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, you check in at the Gold Lounge. They are your reception and your concierge service. Ideally, you will never have to interact with the regular Fairmont staff, as you will only interact with the Fairmont Gold staff.

One of the major benefits of the Fairmont Gold staff in Whistler is that the same Gold staff welcome you even if once checks-in after a while. This has been my experience during many stays over the years. In a resort town such as Whistler, that is a rare blessing as all the hotels are challenged by excessive turnover making it nearly impossible for a luxury experience to be delivered.

The Fairmont Gold staff address Guests by name throughout the day. Welcoming you to the lounge at the end of the day. They also remember your plans and make sure they do everything to make them as comfortable as possible.

Fairmont Whsitler Gold Lounge

The Fairmont Whistler Gold lounge is an oasis in an adventure town. After every evening, a really busy evening none the less, it is always a great pleasure to step back into the hotel.

The lounge is generously sized and I never felt that it was too busy, even during meal service.

Fairmont Whistler Gold Food & Beverage

The Fairmont Gold lounge has the following food & beverage offerings daily:

  • Continental Breakfast
  • Afternoon Service
  • Evening Service
  • Desserts

Overall, even though I have dietary restrictions, I find the offerings to be very generous, and absolutely delicious. Definitely a level above the regular Marriott, Sheraton or Hilton lounges where access is mostly given away for free.

Conclusion

The Fairmont Gold floor in Whistler is by far the most luxurious product offering in the town. The Gold Lounge is unique, since only Gold Floor guests have access to the lounge. And it is truly a great lounge.
