Hilton fans now have another hotel choice in London. It’s London’s 10th Doubletree, officially called Doubletree by Hilton London – Islington, the company announced.

From the hotel, it takes less than five minutes to walk to the Angel tube station and 15 minutes to walk to Kings Cross and St. Pancras rail station. A quick check on the hotel’s website shows the lowest rate for a midweek night (Tuesday) without breakfast is £249 (about $413) or £263 (about $437) with breakfast.

Expect to see a front desk with colorful art behind it. The hotel opened with 229 guest rooms, but once renovation work’s completed in early October, it will have 372 rooms.

The Doubletree chain has been growing in London and the UK since 2007, but its growth soared when it inked a deal to take over the four Mint hotels throughout the city. A few years ago, I’d stayed in the Mint by the Tower of London and liked its contemporary, glass-covered ceiling over the main lobby area, comfortable Euro-style couches, rooftop lounge with incredible Tower of London views and staff. I also liked the rate, which – back then – was roughly half of what I cited above.
