Hotel Review: The Westin Atlanta Airport

Due to bad weather and last minute flight changes, I ended up stuck in Atlanta and needed a hotel at the airport, and something to be reasonably priced (I was staying for work). I had a choice between The Westin and a Sheraton for the same exact price. I picked The Westin, though I wonder if that really was the right choice.

Flight Review: Delta Airlines MD88 and CRJ700 BHM – ATL – ABE

The most important thing I learned from this trip when dealing with a connecting flight. Don't get overly ambitious and change your second flight before your first flight takes off. My first Delta flight was from Birmingham, Alabama, to Atlanta, Georgia. Then I would have an hour and a half layover before flying Atlanta to Allentown, Pennsylvania. My flight from Birmingham was delayed several hours and trying to be proactive, I changed my Atlanta to Allentown flight. Turns out, huge mistake.

Saving yourself Southwest points and diversifying your point portfolio

Recently I was planning and booking travel for a trip out to Indianapolis and then from Nashville using as little money as possible and as few points as possible. The plan was to fly out to Indianapolis from Philadelphia on Frontier airlines (get excited for that airplane review!). Then the next day I would have a friend drive us from Indianapolis to Nashville. Stay in Nashville for a few days, then fly back on Southwest to Philadelphia.
