My visit to Embassy Suites:

I had a quick one night stay at the Embassy Suites in Dallas while in town on an event. Checked in at 5 in the afternoon and was gone by 8 the next morning.

Even though I was only there for 1 night I still had a chance to experience the Embassy Suites way. The rooms were between $110 and $190 per night the week that I was there. Price seems to depend so much on sporting and other events in Dallas.

The hotel is built in a hollow square with rooms on all 4 sides and a large central atrium. In the center are the elevator shafts, a breakfast area, bar and tables and chairs.

Reasons to stay:

The Embassy Suites are a great place to stay if you are traveling and don’t want to spend a lot on food. The refrigerator and microwave oven are great for preparing foodstuffs and for keeping them fresh.

A great breakfast:

Breakfast in the Atrio restaurant is also included in the price of the room so that is an added benefit. And the breakfast is fine with fruit and cereal, oatmeal, made to order omelettes, baked goods and other hot foods. It is a great spread for something that is included with the room, it is not some small continental meal.

Other hotel facilities:

Here is list of areas in the hotel. You can see there are boardrooms, a lounge, fitness center, business center and an indoor pool.

The hotel bar and restaurant.

a room with a tall stone wall and a man sitting at a table

The gym is a good size with all the machines.

The room itself:

The room has a full sized lounge with dining table for 2 and a basic kitchen with sink, refrigerator and microwave. The lounge also contains a settee (foldable bed) and a large tv.

a living room with a tv and a couch

The bedroom is fine with another tv and interestingly a basin in the room.

a hotel room with two beds

Room with luggage rack, chest of drawers, tv and basin.

One problem is the lack of power plugs available for charging devices. Even the clock radio on the bedside table does not have a single plug point available.

Bathroom:

The bathroom is small with the shower in the bath with a plastic curtain.

The toiletries supplied are Zero % naturally kind formulation.

Conclusion:

The Embassy Suites a a great place to stay if you don’t need a ‘sexy’ hotel. It is a good price, includes a comprehensive breakfast, has free parking and the rooms have the lounge and kitchen for added comfort.

All in all a great value stay.
