In my opinion, the Blue Business Plus card is a highly underrated card. The Blue Business Plus card was my first business credit card from American Express. I got approved for it back in 2018 and have carried the card in my wallet ever since.

Over the last few years, we’ve seen American Express increase fees on many of their cards. In a lot of cases, these increases have been upwards of 30%. The fees can really add up if you carry multiple credit cards in your wallet. Unlike some of Amex’s other card offerings, the Blue Business Plus card charges no annual fee. Moreover, with this current offer you can also enjoy a 0% APR for the first year, in addition to the Membership Rewards points on offer.

AMEX BLUE BUSINESS PLUS CREDIT CARD: 0% APR and 15,000 points

Currently, you can earn a welcome bonus of 15,000 Membership Rewards points on the Blue Business Plus card. You’ll earn this welcome bonus after you spend $3,000 in the first 3 months of card membership.

Moreover, you’ll also enjoy a promotional 0% APR for the first 12 months of card membership.

UP TO 100,000 MEMBERSHIP REWARDS POINTS

For a card that charges no annual fee, you can earn 2x Membership Rewards points on each dollar spent. However, Amex caps this at a maximum of $50,000 per calendar year. If you put monthly expenses on this card, you can earn an additional 100,000 Membership Rewards points in each calendar year if you spend $4,166 per month. Also, all of these points earned can be transferred to Amex’s amazing transfer partners. You’ll earn 1 Membership Rewards point for each dollar spent on all other spend.

Usually, American Express offers 10,000 Membership Rewards points as the standard sign-up bonus for this card. You’ll often find these links publicly available or via refer-a-friend links. Before we look at this offer, please note that this card is a business credit card. Also, Amex’s other restrictions like the once-in-a-lifetime rule also may apply.

You may not be eligible to receive the welcome offer, intro APRs, and intro plan fees if you have or have had this Card or previous versions of this Card. You also may not be eligible to receive the welcome offer, intro APRs, and intro plan fees based on various factors, such as your history with credit card balance transfers, your history as an American Express Card Member, the number of credit cards that you have opened and closed and other factors. If you are not eligible for the welcome offer, intro APRs, and intro plan fees we will notify you prior to processing your application so you have the option to withdraw your application.

THE PUNDIT’S MANTRA

This card can provide great value if you’re simply looking to get a starter card for your business. Moreover, you can use this card to keep your Membership Rewards points active and pay no annual fee. Since American Express pools all the Membership Rewards points together into a single account, you don’t need to worry about losing your points in case you happen to close your other cards that carry a hefty annual fee.
