VIPorter redemptions on Air Transat and Alaska Airlines now available. Porter Airlines has expanded its VIPorter loyalty program to allow members to redeem points for flights with two new partner airlines: Air Transat and Alaska Airlines. This move provides members with access to over 2,000 additional routes, broadening the opportunities for reward travel. This new phase of collaboration strengthens Porter’s partnerships with both airlines and enhances its service offerings.
Porter Partnership With Air Transat
Air Transat and Porter Airlines deepen their partnership. It’s now offering VIPorter members the ability to redeem points for flights on over 1,270 itineraries across 56 destinations in North America, Europe, South America, Africa, and the Caribbean. This includes flexible redemption options to Europe starting at 25,000 points, the Caribbean at 21,500 points, and beyond. The two airlines have an extensive cooperation within Canada for flights between both airlines.
Porter Partnership With Alaska Airlines
The expanded partnership with Alaska Airlines allows members to redeem points for over 1,000 available connections. This includes 11 Canadian cities linked to various U.S. destinations. Redemption for U.S. flights starts at just 9,500 points, making it a significant value addition for members looking to travel across North America. Porter and Alaska Airlines have an extensive partnership within the US, with each airline codesharing on a number of each other’s routes.
Recent Network Expansion
Porter’s ongoing network expansion includes several new routes. The airline is increasing its presence in key regions such as New York and Atlantic Canada. New flights connecting Toronto with other Canadian destinations will be supported by their E2 jets. Porter is developing a new airport near Montreal to increase its footprint in the area. These underscore Porter’s commitment to growth in Canada and the US.
