Filmmaker Casey Neistat punted an idea back at Twentieth Century Fox when he was contacted by them to promote the new movie The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. The idea: In lieu of Casey spending the film studio’s money to create a movie campaign with the theme “Live Your Dreams,” Casey wanted to provide aid to those impacted by the Super Typhoon Haiyan that had made landfall just 5 days prior to his potential employment.

He didn’t think the studio would bite… It did!

Typhoon Haiyan, aka Typhoon Yolanda, was an exceptionally powerful and deadly typhoon, which caused the death of over 6,000 people in the Philippines alone.
