Priority Pass Review: The Club at San Jose Airport A15

The Club San Jose Airport

Background:

I came to the Club at San Jose Airport upon arrival after my Southwest flight from Orange County. It was nice to be able to grab a drink and quick snack before my friend picked me up from the airport for dinner.

Access and Hours:

The lounge is located in front of gate A15. San Jose Airport is relatively small and terminals are connected airside, so this lounge isn’t too hard to access no matter where your flight is departing from. Currently, hours are 5am to 6pm daily. I gained access from my Priority Pass Membership that I have from both my Hilton Aspire AMEX, and AMEX Platinum Cards. You can also buy a pass for $45.

I’ve visited the lounge before back in 2019 and I was excited to see if anything changed. There’s also a secondary location located next to gate A8, but it is temporarily closed.

The Lounge:

From my last visit, I noticed the furniture has changed. It’s been updated and has more spinny chairs which are kind of cool. For a Thursday at 4pm, it was more crowded then I thought it would be, but I didn’t have to go on a waitlist or anything.

For hot items they were serving a chicken with rice dish, as well as a cobbler for dessert and tomato basil soup. And they had some chocolate covered pretzels, cheese plates, some celery sticks and pita with hummus. Items are currently served to you by an attendant. There is no buffet style for the food, but you can grab a soda/tea via self service.

The chicken with rice dish wasn’t too bad; nice to see a domestic lounge have a hot food option.

There is an open bar located in the lounge as well. I didn’t try anything from the bar, but maybe next time I will!

The lounge has its own bathroom too, if you don’t want to have to walk out into the terminal. Showers are also offered at this lounge as well.

The Verdict:

I spent about 30 minutes at the lounge, and overall The Club at San Jose Airport is not a bad lounge to grab a quick drink and snack if you’re transiting through San Jose. I like flying out of San Jose as it’s not crowded and it’s nice to have a Priority Pass option here.
