I was recently at the Hong Kong Airport and visited the Plaza Premium Lounge near Gate 1.

There are two Plaza Premium Lounge in Terminal 1, one near Gate 1 and the other near Gate 40.  Note that you will pass by a Plaza Premium First lounge when you visit the lounge near Gate 1.  As a Priority Pass member, you do not have access to this lounge.

To get to the Plaza Premium Lounge at Gate 1, just walk a little bit further past the First lounge. It’s a popular lounge.  During my visit, a short queue extended to outside the lounge.  Check-in went smoothly with the Priority Pass membership.

Food Area

The food options were decent.  There were shumai, soups, congee and fruits.  There was also a coffee machine/choice of beverages for guests.

Because the lounge was busy and there were lots of people enjoying the lounge, I didn’t end up taking tons of pictures.  It was definitely busier than most lounges:  There are queues at check-in and the food area.  That said, this lounge is also more spacious (and had more food options than expected).  It’s a nice and relaxing lounge, and it is certainly one of the better Priority Pass lounges I have visited.

Have you visited this lounge? What’s your impression of the lounge?

[…] my first time here. Turns out, this had been a more traditional Plaza Premium Lounge (one still exists in Terminal 1) until early 2018 or so. Now, refurbished with new seating and higher-end amenities […]
