British Airways have recently introduced new meal times for their Club Europe cabin. On board service varies depending on the time of day and the length of your flight.

Club Europe is the European business class offering from British Airways. At the same time the meal times changed, brand new catering was introduced. You can see the pictures of what food is offered at which Band in this post here.

New Meal Times

Unlike airlines from the United States, you are guaranteed a full meal service no matter what time your flight departs. This is something I really like about British Airways.

As you can see above, all flights receive breakfast from 05:00 to 10:00. The shorter flights then receive Brunch, Lunch, Afternoon Tea and Dinner. Longer flights receive a full meal on all flights after breakfast. How do you know what you will get though?

Club Europe Catering Bands

Express is solely limited to the short flights between London Heathrow and Manchester and Leeds Bradford. All the other services, including some UK domestic sectors fall into the bands.

Not all destinations are shown on the map as there is not enough space. Anything in Spain south of Madrid is Band 3. Reykjavik in Iceland is Band 3, while the Canary Islands and Greek Islands are all Band 4.

All of this information should help you find out what kind of meal you will get on board. I have a fondness for the scones at afternoon tea, so I try to get flights between these times occasionally, partly for that and partly as they work well time wise after hotel check outs!

Overall Thoughts

Meal times are important to know if you think the food is a big part of the experience. I certainly do, so I take these things into account when choosing a flight on a route with multiple flights per day. Pictures of the offering are here.

What do you think of these meal times? Should the US carriers follow on their domestic routes? Thank you for reading and if you have any comments or questions, please leave them below.
