American Express started the year with a bang, we saw some amazing co-branded welcome bonuses with Hilton. Amex has also been running limited time welcome bonuses on their co-branded credit cards with Marriott Bonvoy. If you’re eligible, then these fantastic welcome bonus offers are ending next week.

At the moment, Amex is offering two limited time welcome bonuses on their consumer credit cards with Marriott Bonvoy. These limited time offers expire in a week on May 14, 2025.

Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant Card

The Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant card by Amex is the top-of-the-line credit card for Marriott loyalists. At the moment, you can earn a welcome bonus of 185,000 Marriott Bonvoy points. You’ll earn the welcome bonus once you spend $6,000 in the first 6 months of card memberships.

While the card carries an annual fee of $650, it is loaded with benefits and offers complimentary Platinum elite status. Moreover, you also earn one free night certificate each year when you renew the card and also earn a $25 global dining credit each month.

Marriott Bonvoy Bevy Card

The Marriott Bonvoy Bevy card by Amex is the middle tier card for travelers who like to stay at Marriott properties every now and then. Unlike the Brilliant card, it has a lower annual fee.  With this offer, you will earn a welcome bonus of 155,000 Marriott Bonvoy points. You’ll earn the welcome bonus of 155,000 points after you spend $5,000 in the first 6 months of card membership.

Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Card

If you don’t qualify for any of these welcome bonuses by Amex, then the Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card is also running an amazing welcome bonus. With this offer by Chase, you can not only earn 50,000 points but also 3 free night certificates. You’ll earn 3 free night certificates (valid up to 50,000 points per night) after you spend $3,000 in the first 3 months. Additionally, you’ll earn 50,000 bonus points when you spend a total of $6,000 in the first 6 months of card membership. For a card that charges just $95 in annual fees, you’ll also earn a free night certificate each year when you renew the card in addition to all the benefits that you get on top of the welcome bonus.

If you qualify, then these welcome bonuses are fantastic as they not only give you some fantastic perks and complimentary elite status, but also give you a ton of great benefits, free night certificates and elite night credits.

I’m currently carrying the Brilliant Card and the Boundless Card in my wallet. I got the Brilliant card last year and Boundless card in 2021. I intend to keep renewing these cards as I like the complimentary Platinum elite status, in addition to free night certificates I receive upon card membership renewal.
