With this offer, you’ll earn a welcome bonus of two free night awards after you spend $6,000 in the first 6 months of card membership. Remember, these free night certificates are usually valid for one year post issuance. If you plan to stay in the next year and have some premium properties on the radar, then this offer may be more suitable to you compared to the Bevy card.
Bear in mind that these certificates can be redeemed with properties offering up to 85,000 points per night. Also, Marriott lets you top up free night certificates with points. You can top up a maximum of 15,000 points. Effectively, you can use this bonus to stay at properties that charge 100,000 points (85,000 + 15,000) per night.

The Pundit’s Mantra
Overall, I’d opt for the free night certificate offer on the Brilliant card if my goal is to stay at high end properties. Conversely, I’d go for the Business card or the Bevy card if my goal is to earn points and use for future stays.
You’ll also earn a 5th night free while booking with points. If your goal is to book longer stays, then the points offers may offer more value.
