Over the last few weeks, we’ve seen both Chase and Amex offer limited time welcome offers on their co-branded credit cards. However, figuring out if you qualify for a bonus can be really really complicated. Yesterday, I wrote about the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant card by American Express. We went over the qualification criteria in detail. You can read that blog post here. While the 185,000 points welcome bonus is fantastic, the Bonvoy Brilliant card also carries a hefty $650 annual fee. However, Amex is also offering a 155,000 points bonus on the Marriott Bonvoy Bevy card as well. In contrast to the Bonvoy Brilliant card, the Bevy card carries an annual fee of $250. Let’s have a look at the qualification criteria for this card.

155,000 points welcome bonus: Marriott Bonvoy Bevy American Express Card

With this offer on the Marriott Bonvoy Bevy card, you’ll earn a welcome bonus of 155,000 points. You’ll earn 155,000 Marriott Bonvoy points after you spend $5,000 in the first 6 months of card membership.

Now, to answer the million dollar question, who qualifies and who doesn’t? Based on Amex’s terms and conditions, it’s easier to first chalk out who would not qualify for this card.

The Pundit’s Mantra

I hope this article was useful in helping you figure out the nuances when it comes to Marriott’s co-branded credit cards. In my case, I currently have the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless credit card but I was approved for it in 2021. So I should be good to go when it comes to qualifying for this 155,000 points bonus.
