With a tip of the hat to Magic of Miles who shared this story with me, I thought a happy ending would make for a nice Friday morning story as we head into the weekend. According to this Huffington Post story, it seems some animal rescuers from WildCare were on a vacation cruise when they ran across an injured seabird, a Storm Petrel. Being wildlife rescuers, they swung into action and enlisted the help of ship’s crew to save a bird who had apparently flown into a window of the ship. They lovingly nursed the small bird back to health, borrowing fish from the chef and hot stones from the spa. After a couple of days, the bird was healthy, and released back into the wild. Watch as the bird is set free.
