Nearly 2,000 Delta Pilots Have Chosen to Retire Early as Talks Continue to Avoid Involuntary Furloughs – Paddle Your Own Kanoo

Delta is still trying to make “involuntary furloughs” a last resort, but they are upside down financially at the moment. All the U.S. airlines are, with travel not strongly rebounding. Delta has been in the best financial position of the Big 3, but they are still looking to lay off another 2,500 pilots and are asking crew to take a 15% pay cut, which is massive. Such a rough year for travel.

Virgin Atlantic Announces Exciting Changes to Flying Club Program – Miles to Memories

While most hotel loyalty programs allow for elite status qualification on award stays, airlines have essentially never offered this. So this is a very unique move by Virgin Atlantic. Pretty cool to see some positive loyalty program changes in 2020.

I find this funny, honestly, as I almost never have loose cash in my pockets that I place in a bin. If I do, it’s definitely only coins. But apparently people forget enough of it that the TSA can use it to help promote their PreCheck program.
