I review my Google Analytics data pretty frequently, and it is always interesting to see what type of search keywords bring people to the blog. It’s probably not surprising to you that I get a lot of traffic from readers who are interested in cruising. I also get a lot of emails with questions about cruising from new and experienced cruisers alike. I enjoy hearing from all readers and especially enjoy turning people on to cruising. If you haven’t picked up on it, sailing the sea is a passion of mine (and MrsMJ’s).
Now, there are a few purposes in my post, one of which is to let you know that not only will typing mjontravel.com into your browser bring you to the blog (well, you probably already knew that), but so will cruisingwithmj.com. Better yet, I’ve set up cruisingwithmj.com to redirect exclusively to my cruising content. That’s step 1 in giving you easier access to what you are looking for. Step 2 is in dry dock, but heading out for sea trials soon. đŸ™‚
I also wanted to bring your attention to a reader poll that I released a couple nights ago. It’s been about 3 years since I hosted a group cruise, and I’m getting the itch to do so again. That one was for family, friends, and friends of friends. I am entertaining the idea of an MJ on Travel group cruise. I’ve quietly gauged the interest of some trusted advisors and I think this has some merit. A rough sketch of the cruise:
- 4 nights
- Bahamas, including cruise line private island
- A cruising pep talk onboard by yours truly (cocktails included)
- Another pep talk on travel by a featured travel blogger
Cruise bookings would be handled through a professional travel agent, not me! You would have plenty of free time to enjoy your vacation, and all the free advice you want from me to help you enjoy your cruise. While I suppose, the short 4-night itinerary might appeal to first-timers more than super cruisers, all are welcome. For now, this is just an idea and I decided it was time to seek broader input. Let me know what you think in comments or email.
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Cruising with MJ is an amazing idea. And as someone who has had that pleasure, all I can say is that Mr and Mrs. MJ know how to relax and enjoy life. Anyone who is lucky enough to get the opportunity to travel with them will have a wonderful time. Regardless if you’re someone who has never cruised and doesn’t drink or someone like me who spent more than one evening in a ships crew only bar and needs a NASA supercomputer to calculate my bar tab, traveling with Marshall is truly traveling well with good people. I’m in for… Read more »
