Air Canada Unveiled Their New Livery

Today, Air Canada unveiled a new livery.  The new livery was unveiled during a press conference in Toronto.  Air Canada has painted two aircraft in the new livery, a Boeing 787 and Airbus a320.

The new livery features a black and white color scheme.  The tail, engine covers, and the belly of the aircraft as well as the Air Canada typeface is black.  The main fuselage is an ice white color.  Along with a brand new color scheme, the airline updated its iconic maple leaf.  The maple leaf is found on the tail, towards the forward doors, and on the belly. a tail with an updated maple leaf, an icon for the airline.  The maple leaf is also found on the aircraft’s belly and toward the forward doors.  A new line of uniforms was released alongside the new livery.  The new livery is part of the airline’s recent rebranding efforts that included new cabin designs and an emphasis on the passenger experience.

Air Canada’s Livery is Already Proving to be Polarizing

Though only just unveiled, Twitter is already proving that Air Canada’s new livery is polarizing.  Air Canada’s new livery ditched the teal color scheme for a much bolder black and white color scheme.  Many aviation geeks have noted the similarities in the new livery and the airline’s former 747 livery.  Here are a few tweets about the livery.
