American Airlines pilot tests positive for Coronavirus

Coronavirus

The last couple of weeks have truly been crazy. We’ve seen a global reaction on war footing from governments around the world. Some have issued travel notifications to their own citizens while others have closed non-essential travel to their country altogether. The travel industry is already reeling from the spread of the Coronavirus and the subsequent market reaction.

AA Pilot tests positive for Coronavirus

Just a couple of days back, we read about how three TSA agents tested positive for the virus. NY post reported last night that an AA pilot based out of DFW has tested positive for Coronavirus.

An American Airlines pilot tested positive for the coronavirus, officials said Thursday. The pilot is based in Dallas-Fort Worth, the airline said in a statement. It didn’t immediately respond to questions about when the pilot tested positive or how recently they had flown.

The carrier said it was in contact with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other public health authorities to coordinate on required health and safety measures.

The airline has already announced a change in their cancellation policy. Also, more details about AA schedule changes can be found here. If you’re looking for more resources, please have a look at some of the recently published posts, enlisted below.
