It’s Sunday morning. Palm Sunday. The sun is up, and so is AA.com. I took my own advice yesterday and decided to leave AA.com alone for the evening. I woke up to a website that is still displaying the message that they are working on things.
But this morning, I can successfully log into the site. My upcoming flights are there, my mileage balances, including program and million miler, have transferred, and my join date of the program reflects my original 1987 date when I joined the Piedmont Airlines Frequent Flyer Bonus Program. There are some cosmetic changes to the website, including a new last name requirement when logging in. This applies to the smartphone apps as well – check your app store for an update this morning. Updates were pushed to iTunes this morning for the AA iPhone/iPad app, and the US iPhone app.
Notably, the account homepage has a fresh new look as reported by Miles to Memories this morning.
Did you catch that flight notifications are now called Be Notified? That’s a carry over from US Airways, though it looks like it’s the original AA system with a new name. There’s also a link, “Dividend Miles transferred” that will list the exact miles they pulled into your AAdvantage account from Dividend miles. All in all, I think they’re doing pretty well with this one. Of course, there are likely still some kinks to be worked out, and that should be expected in an IT project this huge. So far so good, and I’ll say it anyway – brAAvo!

Had been waiting for the accounts to merge in order to have enough miles to book an international business award for two.. Checked upon arising in CA to find accounts merged perfectly. Booked the flight on the phone (two different accounts), with an awesome AA rep. Was told that the $40pp fee for booking on the phone was waived today due to the merger. Life is good!
So I am wondering when they are going to add in the 500 upgrade certs. I just dropped from CP to the new AA Plat, and balance on certs is at 0. I have a few more weeks before my major travel happens so hope soon.
Hard to say. Things still aren’t fully done even though I appear to be in good shape. My wife’s account is still pending. They’ll probably drop them in within a few days, I’d think. Of course, if you’re on US metal, you won’t need them for the time being.

I just called the EP desk and it appears that reservations booked under my Dividend Miles number did not or have not yet been updated with my AA #. Agent was able to do it manually and now flights are showing in my AA.com account.
Great news!
All my FF stuff has transferred but still not see my upcoming flights which were booked under my Dividend Miles #.
I just checked my wife’s account and it is still showing as pending to merge. Otherwise, all looks well so far.
What I found today was that this morning I logged in to my USAir account and it updated the number to my AA account number, (with the addition of putting in the last name) but the miles from both account have not been combined. I’m only seeing the miles from AA and not USAir account added to my AA.
The most major functionality change I’ve noticed is that EXPs have upgrade requests automatically added — I booked a couple of tix and went in to upgrade, only to discover that it already said “complimentary upgrade requested”
