A Very Brief Word About My Verizon 4G Mi-Fi

From Philadelphia International Airport on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at 9:50am.

Airport Wi-Fi provided by AT&T: 2mbps down, 2mbps up (granted, better than many “free” wi-fi signals). Verizon 4G with my Samsung SCH-LC11 Mi-Fi device: 10mbps down, and 5.8mpbs up.

Enough said.

  1. Part of the reason the speed is so good is that penetration is low at this point. When the network gets more congested, speeds will be slower.

  2. I love my 4G device. Sad but true : it beats my “DSL” connection from Century Link in Seattle for both up and down by miles.
