The Weekly Cruise Deal – Something Different

My first few highlighted weekly cruise deals have focused on bargain basement prices for cruises. This week, I want to acknowledge that value and cheap aren’t necessarily the same. Let’s take a look at Crystal Cruises’ November 4, 2014 sailing of Crystal Serenity from New York to Miami. This is a repositioning itinerary, boarding in New York, disembarking in Miami, and including some really interesting port stops like Baltimore, Norfolk, Charleston, Aruba, and Curacao.

While Crystal’s ships are by no means small, they offer a very upscale product with complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in addition to the usual meals, etc. At a per person price of $4,710 for an ocean view stateroom (as of today), this is not a low price cruise, and is not for everyone. However, when you factor in the inclusive nature of the fare, the price stings slightly less. The most attractive part of this cruise to me is the itinerary, and the unusual number of interesting American port visits for a larger vessel. Have you ever sailed with Crystal Cruises? Did you enjoy it?

You can review the details of this amazing itinerary here. Be sure to check with trusted travel agents, or online for the most current pricing. And now back to our regularly cheaper cruise deals. 🙂

[…] The Weekly Cruise Deal – Something Different […]

Crystal Cruises is certainly a top luxury cruise line, though a bit too formal for my tastes. While one rank below luxury, for my taste, the best all inclusive offering is that of Azamara Cruises, where I enjoyed a fantastic experience on the Azamara Journey, as well as Paul Gauguin Cruises, with both dress codes being country club casual, not requiring men to ever wear a jacket and tie.

Can’t wait to sail Azamara, Stu!
