I’ve gotten lots of questions about Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas. One question I’ve received more than once is whether or not you have to tip the robot bartenders in the Bionic Bar? Quantum’s bionic bartenders, BIO and NIC work very hard to mix the perfect drink with precision. For me, the perfect drink was easy – an after dinner double of Johnnie Walker. Watch NIC pour generously.
For the record, the JW was smooth, and NIC earned his tip. Yes, you tip robot bartender. In fairness, the bar is staffed with an actual bar server who assists the techno challenged among us with ordering drinks via a tablet, and sometimes even helps BIO and NIC out by making your drink magically move forward so you can enjoy it. That’s a tip well earned.
