Review: Plaza Premium Lounge Taipei Terminal 2

Background:

I visited the Plaza Premium Lounge Taipei Airport in Terminal 2 before my flight back to Los Angeles. After clearing security, the lounge is one floor above the departures level. Just follow the signs upstairs to “VIP Lounge”.

There is two Plaza Premium lounges at Teminal 2, and I first went to the smaller one that is called “Zone A1” in the center of the floor. Once I got there, I knew it was the wrong one based on the pictures I saw before and then asked where the “larger” one was (called “Zone A”), and they directed me to walk to the back of the second floor.

The larger, “Zone A” lounge is open 24 hours, while the smaller lounge is open from 6am-10pm. To access the lounge, I used my Priority Pass membership that I got with my AMEX Hilton Aspire card.

The Lounge “Zone A”:

Upon checking in, you enter the buffet + made to order dining area. The buffet selection was quite limited, so I didn’t take anything from there. Luckily there was a nice made to order section.

At the made to order section, there was 4 options to choose from. You could order Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, Taiwanese Chicken Rice, Vegetarian Noodle Soup and Ginger Duck Stew. I opted to try the Taiwanese Chicken Rice, and it was pretty good!

As you walk towards the back of the lounge, you’ll find more of the seating areas. Seating was mainly taken around 9pm, then slowly got emptier as we approached midnight.

In the back, you’ll find the bathrooms. They were clean and adequate for a lounge bathroom. Additionally, the lounge offers shower rooms if you need that.

The lounge also has an option to book private relaxation suites (with bed + private bathroom).

The Verdict:

Overall, the Plaza Premium Lounge Taipei Airport Zone A was a great place to stop before my midnight flight back to Los Angeles. The made to order dishes were a nice touch, and the lounge provided a relaxing space to relax.

Happy travels,

Ty
