Nashville again. This time we spent a week at the Hilton downtown. This is the perfect hotel to stay in when you are visiting Nashville as it is right across the road from the Convention Center, the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Bridgestone Arena where the hockey and basketball teams play. Music shows are also held there, I saw Alice Cooper there a year or so ago.
Broadway is also just a block away so you are right in the heart of all the music experiences available. The Ryman Auditorium, the historic country music venue, is 2 blocks away just across Broadway.

Below is the view from my window, showing from the left, the Country Music Hall of Fame looking like a piano, the Convention Center with the flowing roof and the Bridgestone Arena. Much fun can be had at just those 3 venues.

The lobby is a magnificent space. There is a bar, many places to sit, the breakfast eating area and a lot of space. The elevators have glass sides so you can watch the lobby as you ride up and down. Below I have also included the view from the top floor. Such a cool looking area. Reception is to the right as you come in.
Quite a comprehensive hotel. Here are the valet services and the car rental desk.
Executive lounge:
As a result of my Hilton Honours status I was given access to the executive lounge. This lounge is open most of the day and night and is a place where you can relax, have something to drink and have some snacks. There is normally a happy hour or two during the evening during which there might be extra drinks and extra hot snacks.
Comfortable with a fireplace, tv, comfy chairs as well as desks and dining tables.
Hotel facilities:
There is a nice sized gym available with treadmills, weights, exercise equipment, bicycles and more.
Ground Up is a Starbucks based coffee and snack bar.
The Collective is the sundry and supply store. Drinks, snacks, mementos, t-shirts, pharmacy supplies. All available.
And now the room:
Very comfortable bed with 4 pillows, 2 bedside tables with lamps, phone, alarm and various plug points available.
A full lounge area was also included. Nice long settee which can seat at least 4, a single chair with tables and a high lamp.
A tv is on the wall opposite the settee and is above this drawer unit which is very useful for storing clothes.
Next to the couch is a separate chair and desk which has another phone, lamp and more plug points too.
Below is the coffee machine. Standard water heater with coffee trays. Nice that they provide tea bags with sugar and milk available.
Nice glasses, ice bucket and a refrigerator are also at hand. A rather nice room to stay in.
Cupboard contains iron and ironing board.
The bathroom:
A nicely designed bathroom with large counter, elegant taps and controls, supplied soap, shower cap and tissues. All bathroom supplies are by Crabtree and Evelyn.
A body lotion squeeze bottle was mounted to the wall to the side of the counter.
A standard shower with no hand wand. Affixed to the wall were shampoo. conditioner and shower gel, all by Crabtree and Evelyn.
The view:
On this stay I was at the front of the hotel and had this magnificent view of the main Nashville attractions. If you sleep at the back of the hotel you run the risk of being kept awake at night by the revelry of the music venues and the people on Broadway.
Conclusion:
This was rather a good stay, I would recommend this Hilton to anyone looking for a good hotel in downtown Nashville.
In the 2 weeks following my review you could stay at this Hilton for between $311 and $600 a night depending on the chosen day and city events.
Great value, nice executive lounge if you qualify, lovely atrium and all the necessary facilities. A great stay.
