Relo with MJ – Phase 1 Complete

MrsMJ and I have made it to my mother’s in NC where we are enjoying some quiet time after all the packing and moving drama exiting DC. It was quite the interesting exit with some moving van issues that created a bit of a wrinkle that hadn’t been planned on. Somehow we got it all packed and are now half-way through our drive to Atlanta.

Phase 2 of the move will begin Monday when MrsMJ and I drive down to Atlanta and spend the next week at the W Atlanta – Buckhead. I think a week in a hotel will be a good thing. 🙂 Now if I can just get to the gym some during the week to start making up for my slacking off in the last 2 weeks. 🙂 Oh well, I guess moving is exercise on its own!

Most interesting thing so far in our life outside the beltway? Dining at a favorite restaurant in Raleigh, NC, I spotted a guy with a pistol stuffed into his shorts. Life outside the beltway indeed. More to come, including wall to wall coverage of our stay at the W and our first try of P.A.W. (Pets are Welcome) services.

Hopefully your move-in will have less drama then ours last month…one of the (hung over) movers hurled on our new neighbor’s lawn…great way to get introduced to the neighborhood!

@Usairelite, I haven’t tried that, but will keep it in mind.

Have you tried Vivace at North Hills? they have great Italian food.

Jamison

the worst thing about Atlanta is the parking and worrying about getting “BOOTED” on your car

Whats your favorite restaurant in Raleigh?

Marshall Jackson

42nd St. Oyster Bar is one of my favorite spots.

Hahahaha. Rene, I just couldn’t get a good angle where I wouldn’t be noticed! 😀

Delta Points

What you did not run up to the “gun guy” and take a bunch of photo’s and say “it’s OK, it’s for my blog”? Then again, maybe it was good you didn’t! Safe trip to ATL via ground route (much more scary than being up in the air)!
