It’s hard to believe that just a month ago my wife and I were exploring Paris. We had both been before, but not together so it was a fun adventure. As for me, I have been several times, but always on business. Translation – I had never taken the time to actually visit Paris. While I suppose I am glad we went when we did and were not there for the awful attack, the truth is, we want to go back. We both loved being there.
Five years of French for MrsMJ paid off in communicating. My 2 years…..well, we won’t talk about that. I found everyone to be polite and welcoming, helpful when we we had a question, and just generally nice. The food was excellent. I know, shocker. And the ability to buy a €6 bottle of wine at the store on the way home in the evenings that was actually decent…..there just aren’t words.
I wish I knew why our world was so jacked up. It goes beyond a single politician, political party, or conservative vs. liberal. It’s much larger than that. In spite of everything that’s happened, I would leave for Paris tonight if I could. I won’t stop traveling, and I won’t just stay home to feel “safe.” They won’t win. Paris is still on my mind.

I love Paris too. I’ve been in Paris almost 10 years ago. I had only 2 days staying in Paris, but i was impressed with Paris architecture. I will come back to Paris again.
[…] Paris on My Mind […]
Right there with you. I’ve spent tons of time in Paris, and I too would go back today if I could. Some of my best friends in the world live there, and all I want to do is sit with them on a terrace until dinner time (10pm lol)…and then maybe party until 8… I want to go back, and I will go back.
